Bug Description

OS: 10.04, X86

I right clicked on my panel and selected the new panel menu item nothing happened. I did it four or five times and still nothing. Then when I logged out and logged in, I suddenly have 5 new panels. There seems to be some problem creating panels. It will be great if it could be fixed.

I have experienced this behaviour too ... the Panels are hidden by default when added. That's why they appear when logging out and in. This is fixed in the next version of gnome, 2.31.2, I think, because the gnome panel news contains an entry: "Make sure that newly-created panels become unhidden (Vincent)"
