Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-panel
Sometimes, at start up, ubuntu draws incorrectly the "show desktop button" and the "indicator applet" in the gnome panels.
"Show desktop button" may be accompanied by a small white or violet line on his rigth side (it seems that the violet line is a reduced reproduction of the button). This problem may be automatically solved opening some random windows, maximizing then minimizing them: the desktop button is usually re-drawn correctly.
"Indicator applet" shows duplicated indicators (tipically, bluetooth and sound ones) - only one of each actually working - while doesn't show the other indicators (network manager & chat/mail/broadcast manager). I could solve this problem only restarting gnome by '/etc/init.d/gdm restart'.
I'm running ubuntu 10.04 with visual effects on 'Extra' and with the nvidia proprietary driver activated (ubuntu recommended version)
Sorry for my bad English. I'm Italian. I hope you can understand the report.
