Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

When I activate the indicator-applet menu, the last-used application launcher on the gnome-panel is highlighted. The symptoms seem to match those of bug #18361, but *only* happen for indicator-appet. Other menus (including indicator-applet-session) do not cause this behaviour. I'm blaming gnome-panel because I don't think it should allow indicator-applet to do this, regardless of how buggy indicator-applet may be. There may well be a (separate) bug in indicator-applet that it does something annoying that causes this behaviour.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Launch an app with a launcher from the Gnome Panel
2. Click on an indicator (or global menu)- I have tried with the new network indicator, bluetooth indicator, sound indicator, messaging indicator, meMenu, session indicator

Expected result : indicator menu should open
Result: indicator menu opens as expected, but the last activated launcher is highlighted.
