Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. You can learn more about finding the right package at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage . I have classified this bug as a bug in gnome-panel.

I have the same problem. Nothing seems to fix it but a reboot.

could you add your .xsession-errors to the bug? do you use the desktop effects? do you get the issue without those?

It hasn't done it in a while, but here's my xsession errors. There's also a file called xsession-errors.old Do you want that?

Oh, and I don't use the desktop effects. My video card can't handle them.

The screenshots there suggest that gnome-panel hangs on login, but there's nothing in xsession-errors which might point to what happens. Do you get this with a stock user account, or does this happen there too?

The pictures I send you was from the major account. There is an other
account wich I don't use much.
This also happens on an other account as well, wich use the original
toolbar as it comes from ubuntu.
This is right after I login and the computer is readdy with it's startup
(except that the toolbars are missing of cause).
I wish I could be more of any help but I'm only a user and as long it as
it can be done with the mouse or someone tels me how to do it, I don't
know how to do it.

If there might some file wich can help you out just let me know how to
get it for you...

use ctrl, alt del with the result that I got the message that the panel

See atachment.
