Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-applets

My desktop clock stopped updating the other day, and it's been saying "4:31" ever since. At first I thought this was some sort of daylight savings time bug, but then I checked my uptime, which at that time was 267 days.

I further noted that 267 days, when converted to seconds, crosses over an interesting boundary:

(gdb) p/x 267*24*60*60
$1 = 0x1600080

This is on a 32 bit system with ubuntu 8.04.1:

jsnow@dev1:~$ cat /etc/issue
Ubuntu 8.04.1 \n \l

jsnow@dev1:~$ uname -a
Linux dev1 2.6.24-22-generic #1 SMP Mon Nov 24 18:32:42 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux
jsnow@dev1:~$
