Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

Description: Ubuntu 9.10
Release: 9.10
apt-cache policy gnome-panel
gnome-panel:
  Installed: 1:2.28.0-0ubuntu6
  Candidate: 1:2.28.0-0ubuntu6
  Version table:
 *** 1:2.28.0-0ubuntu6 0

        500 http://za.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/main Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

Not sure what crashed as the panel is still working. Cannot distinguish which applet is "missing" as most of the applets are running. Panel looks "normal".
