Thanks for the report.

I have never seen this behaviour. It is possible that you are missing an icon file. Could you attach the output of the following command to this bug report, please?

ls -l /usr/share/liferea/pixmaps/

Also, what version of the liferea package do you have installed?

I don't think I am missing an icon file since it works alright most of the time.

I am using the latest available Liferea version in the dapper ppc repository - 1.0.12-0ubuntu2

Might this be affected by the screensaver? I think i have only noticed this problem after I have been away from the computer - I have never actually seen it go turn visible to invisible.

Possibly - which version of gnome-screensaver do you have installed?

I left my computer and liferea up and running when I left home earlier today. When I came home the icon was gone again.

As requested attached is a screenshot showing the absence the icon. I held my mouse cursor over the invisible icon when I made the screenshot to make the tooltip come up and show that Liferea is still there.

This is probably a bug in gnome-panel rather than liferea since I have seen the same problem with both the gnome-power-manager icon and gajim. How can I "move" the bug report?
