Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

After the messaging application launchers are added to the Messaging Menu, they will be redundant and on as icons on the panel. At that point, they should be removed.

seb128 - I suppose this will be a good thing to consider as part of the upgrade plans. They should probably be removed for new as well as upgraded installations.

Tricky one, the gnome-panel configuration is an user setting, we will need to add another script to the session start which will be ran at every GNOME login to do the change to the user configuration

I've fixed this one before alpha6

gnome-panel (1:2.27.92-0ubuntu3) karmic; urgency=low

  * debian/patches/04_default_panel_config.patch:
    - don't set an evolution launcher on the default configuration since there
      is one in the message indicator now
