Bug Description

After staring up the Dapper Drake Live CD Flight 5, the Gnome panels disappear. When the system starts up I can see the gnome panels for a minute with a pure brown background then the screen goes blank for a minute (or less) and reappears with the default desktop but no gnome panels on the top or bottom of the screen.

This was not a problem for Dapper Drake 4.

Thank your for your bug. Do you still have the issue? Could you switch to a VT and look if there is a gnome-panel process running? If there is one could you get a backtrace and a strace of where it's hanging?

Thanks for responding. It seems fine now. I've tried starting the Live CD a few times now on this machine and the gnome panels are there.
I don't know why it wasn't working before.

I think it would be fine to close this bug.
