Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

I accidentally added a second sound volume applet to the panel and removed one of them afterwards..

Now, every time I restart the panel the removed one reappears.

They are both present in gconf.. even after removing one of them..

attached is the ~/gconf/apps/panel folder for reproducing.

GNOME Panel 2.25.91
Version: 1:2.25.91-0ubuntu3

thank you for your bug report, is that specific to the sound applet, do you have the same issue using an another user?

Did some more testing:

1) If there are 2 sound applets and I remove one: the second one crashes.
2) Then I added one and after restart the one that crashed reappeared -> 2 applets again.
3) back to point 1.

Stacktrace attached :) (I hope I did it right)

I was having a similar issue with the volume applet a few weeks ago, but it's now fixed with latest packages, could you try the same and give us feedback? thanks in advance.
