2009-01-02 22:31:02 Orzech description Window list applet freezes vertical gnome panel when more than 7 windows are opened at once. repro: 1. Make gnome-panel vertical. 2. Have window list applet on it. 3. Open more than 7 windows. result: Whole panel freezes and eats processor. expected result: Window list applet should neither freeze panel nor eat processor. in case of freeze: 1. Close few windows, so there are 7 o less opened. 2. Kill panel process, so it will be restarted without freeze. If step one is not done, the panel will restart back into freeze and still will eat processor. to prevent freeze: Use window menu applet instead of window list applet or do not open more than 7 windows at once. Window list applet freezes vertical gnome panel when more than 7 windows are opened at once. Currently I have package version 1:2.24.1-0ubuntu2.1, but AFAIK it happened on earlier versions too. repro: 1. Make gnome-panel vertical. 2. Have window list applet on it. 3.
