Bug Description
I'm using Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid in Japanese. The kanji (ideogram) for day is missing. I attach 2 screenshots with the present situation and how it should be.
I have found this link showing a previous version of gnome in ubuntu with the the date correctly displayed (the day of the week is between brackets). Maybe there is a problem related to a recent update.
