gnome-panel (menus and applets) don't pick up theme change

When installing a new icon set (gartoon dragged from the zipped file to the icon theme dialogue box), the icons on the menu bar are not adapted (Gnome menu's). They are correct on the desktop and in nautilus.

Does logging out/logging back in again update the icons? Are the required icons available for that theme?

Hi,

yes, logging our and in fixes this issue (indeed the required icons
are available). Still a bug I think, because they should be updated
instantly.

If you switch to another icon theme (preinstalled), do the icons update then? Or do you still need to log out/in?

After the restart everything seems to work fine. Whatever iconset I choose, everything changes directly.

Can you try again? It works fine for me, even without a restart of the session or the panel.
