Thanks for your bug. The crash from the menus seems to be http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=327993 upstream. Could you get a backtrace (the bug-buddy dialog to send the bug upstream has it) for the case of the panel dialog?

Changed in nautilus:
assignee: nobody → desktop-bugs
status: Unconfirmed → Needs Info

That one is a gnome-panel crash. Does it happen with the session dialog you get from the panel launcher or from the items from the menu?

well I didn't understand what you asked me, but I can re-explain what happened to be clear

i clicked System -> Shut Down then I get the dialog which asks me what I'd like to do (with the timeout stuff) if I click on the X to close the window I get lots of windows to inform me about gnome-panel crashes and to ask me if I want to reload the stuff which crashed. the backtrace was of the first crash window appeared

that bug is known and fixed upstream, but you said "(or if I click on the door at the top+right corner of my desktop) ", this button open an another with 6 icons which is not a panel and should not crash the same way. Do you have your issue with both the menu and the panel session dialog?

yes! but it's a gnome-session bug which also causes a system reboot... the backtrace is similar to the one I posted. should I post it too?

look at this I've discovered new things:
shut down + x = gnome-panel crash
door + x = nothing
door + x + x = dialog closed
door + x + other button such as cancel = gnome-session crash + reboot

ok! now the gnome-panel crash is no more active, good! packages were updated from upstream! but still gnome-session crash in the 6 ways door!

Do you still have an issue with the gnome-session update?
