Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

Release 8.04
Package version 2.22.1.3-0ubuntu1

Sunrise and sunset times should be in the local time format. Hovering over the weather icon component of the clock on the panel displays detailed current weather conditions. I'm using a 12-hour am/pm format, so sunrise and sunset should read 6:27am and 8:57pm. Instead they read 6:27 and 20:57.

OK, this is blocked by a bug in libgweather. libgweather returns a formatted string of time, instead of the actual time.

Is fixed. But there are some other bugs in it like http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=444645 which imply that the calculations aren't even accurate.

For this reason, it is out of my league. Hopefully the upstream maintainers will have a good sort-out.
