Bug Description

Upgrading 7.10 -> 8.04 does not work.

Setup:
1. 7.10 (latest updates) with several apps added (working machine) -> 8.04: Panel crashed, no network drives available. No panel
2. 7.10 + updates (fresh install) -> 8.04 Panel not shown, no network drives
3. 7.10 (no updated) -> 8.04 Panel not shown (manual start: Segmentation fault)

If the panel does not come up, then this is probably a problem with the panel. Please check if /var/crash contains a crash file for the panel (I assume you use the gnome-panel here?).
