panel bars do not keep their order on reboot

Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

I have both the default gnome-panel bars at the top, with the window list/desktop bar above the applications menu/launcher/clock/tray bar -- it doesn't make much sense the other way, as then the application menu will block the window list.

Anyway, after upgrading to Hardy, the bars switch positions every time I reboot. This never happened in Gutsy (save some fullscreen Wine apps).

and don't specify the version you are using in the title, that creates confusion and extra work

What is the original bug so I can subscribe to that? I tried looking for one and couldn't.
I can't imagine this being too hard too fix -- it worked fine in every other release, and it seems like a pretty simple thing in general.

Sorry about adding the version, I figured it would help to specify right off that it is a hardy only bug, I won't in the future.

you are welcome to send a patch if you think that's easy to change, the bug is bug#15442 and is not new in hardy

the version information can go in the description, it's confusing in the title because when the next ubuntu version open people will thing the issue is specific to hardy where that's not the case, and if the bug is not closed that's because it's not fixed in the current hardy version anyway
