Bug Description

1) The release of Ubuntu you are using, via 'cat /etc/lsb-release' or System -> About Ubuntu.
cat /etc/lsb-release
DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu
DISTRIB_RELEASE=8.04
DISTRIB_CODENAME=hardy
DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu hardy (development branch)"

2) The version of the package you are using, via 'dpkg -l PKGNAME | cat' or by checking in Synaptic.
gnome-panel 1:2.22.0-0ubuntu1

3) What happened and what you expected to happen.
If you have many gtk-bookmarks the "Places" menu creates a "Bookmarks" submenu. When I change icon themes this icon does not change, but I would expect it to (every other icon changes).

Could you please post a link to the icon theme in question? I'd assume that this is a bug with the theme and not gnome-panel, but I'd have to look at it. Many third party themes miss a few icons here and there.

Any icon theme I use has the same result. I typically use Tango icon theme, but when I switched to Tangerine, Human, or GNOME icon themes, the "Bookmarks" icon did not change for any of them.

Looking at the upstream bug report, it seems a patch is available and can be applied. Should we ?

It's not necessary to apply this as a patch to the Ubuntu package as GNOME 2.24 will be in Intrepid. We'll pick up the change when the package gets updated.

The latest human theme fixed this problem by adding the missing icons.
