Bug Description

Hi,

I have this akward Bugnautilus crashes when saving a file in gedit after running
half a day

Hi,

I have this awkward Bug. I work say about half a day; all works fine. On the
second half of the day nautilus crashes when I save a file to local disk in
gedit. When I restart gnome all is runs fine again. Once it started it happens
say every 3-4 times.

I do not know if it is because gedit is running a long while or because of what
happens in the lunch brake. (screensaver?) But I have also seen it before the
lunch brake, but seldom.

I must investigate my behavior.

Since I have seen a lot of bugs posted about nautilus & nfs; I want to state
that my home directory is located on autmounted nfs.

arch x86 (i686-smp) (2xintel xeon)

nautilus 2.10.0-0ubuntu9
gedit 2.10.2-0ubuntu2
linux-686-smp 2.6.10-5 (+ restricted)
autofs 4.1.3-8ubuntu3
nfs-common 1:1.0.6-3-1ubuntu1

Thats all that I can think of being relevant

Thanks for your bug. Can you install the libgnomevfs2-0-dbg nautilus-dbg
packages and get a backtrace of the crash (the bug-buddy dialog to send the bug
upstream has it)?

Seems to be the same issue than http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=308544
which is fixed with GNOME 2.12. I'm closing the bug, feel free to reopen if you
still get it with this version of the packages
