Notification Area icon the wrong size

Bug Description

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

The Notification Area icon that gets used is 16x16, regardless of the size of the panel. If a user is using something like Avant Window Navigator with its 48x48 icons then the Rhythmbox icon looks even more out of place than with the typical gnome-panel size.

Rhythmbox comes with a scalable SVG icon, but this does not get selected.

I'm using 7.10 (Gutsy). Here are the screenshots. I made the panels a
bit bigger so that you could see that the icon doesn't scale. The
gnome-panel has icons of 48 pixels high, and the AWN has icons of 60
pixels high. The icon theme is Human, the Ubuntu default.

If there's anything else you need to know, just ask.

That's not really the same bug at all. That bug is about the arrangement of icons in the Notification Area. This bug is about Rhythmbox's Notification Area icon almost always being the wrong size. 16x16 is too small, and is not the same size as any other Gnome Notification Area icon.

It would be nice if Rhythmbox used its own SVG icon to scale to arbitrary size, but even without that, 16x16 just looks stupid and is inconsistent with the rest of the desktop.

Ah, it's a duplicate of *that* bug, but not the one that it's marked as a duplicate of.

Thanks.
