Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-panel
With Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon) I created side panels and a drawer on a side panel.
Next I installed a few application launchers for firefox to specific webpages in the panels: in the standard top panel, in the side panels, and in the drawer.
The command lines are like this:
firefox file://
Or something like this:
firefox -new-tab "file:/
Every time I restart, something has changed. An application starter could be emtpy, or one could be copied to the other etc.
It seems that they get mixed up in ~/.gnome2/
The next lines are a part of the directory listing (the top file contains the newest firefox launcher):
%
%
%
%
%
%253B.desktop
%3B.desktop
bash-
bash-
bash-
bash.desktop
;.desktop
firefox-
firefox.
gedit-
gedit.desktop
kind regards
This problem is solved.
First I used the command "nice -n 0 firefox ........" to force the launcher in an other file.
Next I removed all the %2525...3B.desktop files.
And the gnome-panel was updated.
Result: the problem is gone.
