Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-panel
When I startup 7.10 and log in, the panel's won't show up. I have Compiz enabled and ATI drivers. I'm using fglrx.
If I start spinning the cube using the mouse, the panel will show until I stop spinning.
If I click anywhere on the screen it will show up and stay.
After making it show up, logging out and back in, the panel appears just fine.

I have the same problem. Same configuration. I think that it comes from a bad compiz configuration that puts the "panel window" in a lower level than the "desktop window". So maybe even users that doesn't use ati have the same problem. So if there's anyone that uses nVidia or Intel cards with xgl (not aiglx, that may solve the problem), please report. At least to understand where the problem comes from. Any help is apreciated.
