Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

The tooltip of the workspace switcher doesn't pick translations up. The tooltip is left untranslated, which is very annoying as the whole gnome-panel is fully translated into Polish, but the untranslated tooltip is one of the first things that all users notice. I have no idea why this is, but it's been a problem at least since Edgy, if not Dapper.

It's been always the same and I've double-checked both the upstream and rosetta template, everything seems fine. It might be a problem within the application.

The string is in libwnck, is it correctly translated in your locale?

Not a bug, the strings are libwnck ones as discussed on IRC
