Bug Description

Gnome-panel hangs and some of the applets do not have a right menu. I get
(gnome-panel:5138): Bonobo-WARNING **: add_listener failed 'Unknown CORBA
exception id: 'IDL:omg.org/CORBA/COMM_FAILURE:1.0'' when I start gnome-panel.
gnome-menu applet does not respond on top menu, launchers dont work and both
dont have right menu. Battstat, notification, gnome-netstat, clock and volume
dont show up. wnck-applet doesn't have right menu but works when switching
between windows. show desktop, trash applet and workspace switcher have right
menu and work normally. This is happend to my primery account even when I rm -rf
.* but this doesn't happen with a user that doesn't have access to /dev/dsp

there is no dsp group in the default installation. What is this group supposed
to do ? Have you an idea of why it fixes this issue ?

I meant the audio group. This has happend before but there were always updates
that fixed it. I can disable the bug by taking my self off the audio group and
reproduce it by reinstating my there.
