"Other" menu in applications menu duplicates places/desktop entries

Bug Description

with 2.9.4 release of the panel, the applications menu now contains an "other"
menu, which contains the following menuitems:
about gnome*
computer#
file browser
help*
home folder#
network servers#
search for files#

of these, the ones marked with a * already exist in the desktop menu, those
marked with a # exist in the places menu, so the "Other" submenu is pretty
useless. it should be removed, and the file browser should either be removed or
moved elsewhere.
