Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-panel
62188 applets disorganized when change back screen resolution
37546 Panel items move when resolution changed...
48015 Resolution change moves Applications menu, but doesn't move it back
36189 Applets do not scale well with changing resolution
Fresh install of Ubuntu 7.04 BETA
HP NX9420 notebook
Default resolution after install was 1280x1024
Updated ATI driver (unsupported)
ATI X1600 mobile Radeon
Modified X11 to support 1680x1050 resolution (native to this laptop screen)
After adjusting the screen resolution the recycle, time and power icons remain in the same location in the panel as the lower resolution (ie: Icons appear in the middle of the panel).
Adjusting the screen resolution lower then higher again will temporarily fix this problem, however after a reboot the problem returns.
