Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

If desktop-effects with cube are enabled the workspace switcher will correctly show only one workspace 'cause the 4 sides of the cube are regarded as 'virtual desktops'. If you increase the number of workspaces you won't be able to select different sides of the cube(s) with the mouse and the key shortcuts will produce a weird behaviour

A user who doesn't know this can get confused about this. So I think the applet preference dialog should warn that changing the number of workspaces will cause unexpected results.
Alternatively it should support the cube with giving an option to change the number of sides instead of select workspaces. (Perhaps it should be renamed as prism - I never saw a three-sided cube ;) )

I think this should be more than a wishlist; this confused the hell out of me - the two kind of interact with some of the workspaces available via the cube stuff.
