Affects Status Importance Assigned to Milestone
gnome-panel (Ubuntu)
Fix Released
Medium
Sebastien Bacher

Bug Description

every time i change the wallpaper, the panel crashes, then a dialog appears and
asks me if i want to close the application, or restart it.
then another dialog appears and informs me of the fact that the panel has
crashed. then the panel reactivates. i can still change the wallpaper, because
the "change the wallpaper" "application" is not affected, and every time i do,
the panel crashes again....

i am using warty, upgraded 10-Xl-04 with main, restricted, and universe,
repositories active.

Ok, thanks for the backtrace, upstreams already have a bug about this:

according to the last comment in the upstream bug report, this has been very
recently fixed in gnome. Not sure if that has made it yet into Hoary.
