The "Herramientas de red" do not work grafically ,but in the console ,ping,traceroute,etc work wonderful

Binary package hint: gnome-nettool

I need to work with the graphical net tools (System/Administration/ net tools) but in this interface the typical commands not work(ping,traceroute,netstat,etc,etc) but this tool work correctly in console.
I work with this graphic tool in ubu 8.10 perfectly in this machine
The problem appears with the instalation of ubu 10.10
I have two operating systems : ubu 8.10 and ubu 10.10 in this machine .
Its not practice restart the pc for changing the operating system for work whit the net tools in graphic mode....
