Bug Description

QA-test (live) on
dell latitude d610 (pentium m, 1.5gb, intel i915)

Yesterday I had the same issue on on
asus eepc 1000HE (intel atom n270, 1gb, intel mobile 945gse integrated) but didn't file bug

These are not laptops/devices I regularly use, and in the QA-test I'm navigating (pcmanfm) to the internal drive's directory and opening files using installed apps.

Various video files all causes gnome-mpv to crash. AVI, MKV, WMV, MP3 etc. Audacious will play same MP3 files though

** To re-create

boot live system (daily bionic)
navigate to internal hdd where video files are
open using default GNOME-MPV

A window with GNOME-MPV opens with green background, but very quickly closes.

** Expected result

GNOME-MPV window doesn't close, and video file would play

** MP3s do open with Audacious

If I select to open the MP3 files with Audacious, they play correctly, where as GNOME-MPV opens briefly then closes.

ibm thinkpad t43 (pentium m, 1.5gb ram, radeon x300)
same daily bionic image

I navigated to internal drive, and tried opening some MP3 files

First MP3 I tried started playing :)

I selected another at random, this time it crashed
I returned to first MP3 opened & crash again..
