Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-mplayer

In Firefox using the gecko-mediaplayer with gnome-mplayer and choosing VDPAU rendering in the preferences, video playback is normal at first when shown in a small window within the browser but then goes black when switching to full screen and stays black when switching back to a window. This only happens when compositing is disabled in xorg.conf. Xv rendering doesn't have any problems. There is an upstream report about this but the dev doesn't have an Nvidia card and can't fix it.

Appears to be a bug in the nVidia driver as newer versions of the driver do not have this issue.
