Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-volume-manager

If cryptsetup is not installed, mounting encrypted volumes fail without any kind of error message.

Steps to reproduce:

- ensure cryptsetup is not installed
- plug in USB device with encrypted (LUKS-formatted) setup on it.
- enter passphrase when g-v-m asks for it.
- see that nothing happens and that the device is not mounted.

This will actually work once udev-devic-e-mapper gets implemented. However, I agree that there should be a better error message in case it fails.

 gnome-mount (0.5-2ubuntu8) feisty; urgency=low

   * Add debian/patches/08_crypto_setup_error_dialog.patch: If setup_crypto()
     fails with Crypto.SetupError, display an error dialog instead of failing
     silently. Special-case a missing /sbin/cryptsetup, suggest to install the
     package. (LP: #78358)
