Bug Description
The gnome-volume-
specify the iocharset used by mount. There should at least be a default
iocharset setting somewhere, and documented in the README of this package.

Since Feisty we have gnome-mount, which allows you to specify mount options in the Drive/Volume property tab of a drive icon.
