No sound after installing 9.10 version of Ubuntu

I have just installed Ubuntu 9.10. But when trying to play a song there was no sound. I opened the preferences menu and it showed no "dispositivos".

I have found a workaround for the bug. On the terminal prompt I use the
command:
sudo alsa force-reload
And that fixes temporarily the bug, until I turn off my laptop
