Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-media

gnome-media 2.27.91-0ubuntu1

I have an "audiotrak prodigy 7.1" - VT1720/24 [Envy24PT/HT] PCI Multi-Channel Audio Controller / ICE1724 - multitrack.

If I set "VT1720.." in output of sound preferences active, then under connector I have the choice between "Amplifier" and -blank-. Amplifier brings good sounds while -blank- brings a bad sound.
What is this blank entry?

Which further information are needed?
