Bug Description

Keyboard: Logitech Internet 350
Connection: USB

$ lsusb
Bus 005 Device 002: ID 046d:c313 Logitech, Inc.

It has 8 multimedia keys.
1. music -- DOES NOT work
2. mail -- works
3. home -- works
4. calculator -- works
5. play/pause -- works
6. lower volume -- works
7. raise volume -- works
8. mute -- works

Also, I had to goto System->Keyboard and change keyboard model from Generic to Logitech Internet 350 keyboard.
It didn't automatically do this for me.

The first key, the key with a music symbol is detected as XF86Tools.
I suspect maybe it should be detected as XF86AudioMedia.

Yes, the music button still seems todo nothing in 10.04.

Hotkey handling, such as volume and suspend keys, involves multiple packages. Please take a look at [1], follow the Step-by-step Troubleshooting and comment back here your findings.

Please also add the files mentioned in "Useful Information to Collect in Reports" as separate attachments.

I run:
xev | sed -n 's/^.*state \([0-9].*\), keycode *\([0-9]\+\) *\(.*\), .*$/keycode \2 = \3, state = \1/p'

It says:
keycode 179 = (keysym 0x1008ff81, XF86Tools), state = 0x0
