Bug Description

after doing the most recent upgrade that was just released is when this started. i have a stop sign with a white dash in it on top right of screen along with a red circle with a slash through it. also the computer slows to a stop every 5 seconds. also once system is up it takes about 20 minutes to bring up my menus and time. my button on top right allowing access to shut down isnt present anymore. the system isn't working properly and allot of my programs like transmission and terminal go into this grey color and stop working all together. can anyone help?

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Reviewing your dmesg attachment in this bug report it seems that there is a problem with your hardware. I recommend performing a back up and then investigating the situation. Measures you might take include checking cable connections and using software tools to investigate the health of your hardware. In the event that is is not in fact an error with your hardware please set the bug's status back to New. Thanks and good luck!
