starting it from terminal shows the following :

shm@saB0x:~$ gnome-media-player

/bin/bash: -c: line 0: syntax error near unexpected token `newline'

Your backtrace failed. Please try again. Do not copy/paste the "<arguments, if any>" as part of that command. Simply use "run" (no quotes)

Nevermind. I got the same error on my Precise VM, and the error is already documented. Thanks for your help, though.
