maps-3.23.90 crashes with JS ERROR: TypeError: redeclaration of let _ (Zesty)

Bug Description

In zesty it is impossible to open as it shows following error:

May be it requires rebuild against either libgirepository or gjs

Thanks for taking your time to report this issue and help making Ubuntu better.

I get the same error message when attempting to run gnome-maps 3.23.90-0ubuntu1 on Ubuntu Zesty.

The error message indicates that some part of the Javascript appears twice (possibly due to something being duplicated when combining all the scripts together, including those from libraries). I therefore don't know if a rebuild will affect this...

that's amusing - I guess what I did when rebuilding was

 - oh noes, it broken
 - pull-lp-source; rebuild
 - get new one without noticing
 - oh yeah it works, i'm a cool developer who fixes things
 - upload
