Bug Description
I do an upgrade of a large number of packages and installing the thinkpad smapi modules in aptitude, and went away, When I returned, the kernel had panicked. After rebooting and logging in with unity-2d, the "panel" at the top just flashes on and off (I assume that it is crashing and being restarted) and I get messages offering to submit crash reports for gnome-keyring, and bluetooth. The left application panel is still functional though, and I'm able to startup gnome-terminal and firefox.
