- start the initial setup wizard
$ rm ~/.config/gnome-initial-setup-done
$ /usr/libexec/gnome-initial-setup --existing-user

go to the ubuntu one screen, then close the wizard from the launcher context menu, it shouldn't crash

* Regression potential

THe change is in the dispose functions of the ubuntu pro page, so issue would trigger when going to next page or when closing the wizard

Accepted gnome-initial-setup into jammy-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-initial-setup/42.0.1-1ubuntu2.3 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation on how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug, mentioning the version of the package you tested, what testing has been performed on the package and change the tag from verification-needed-jammy to verification-done-jammy. If it does not fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-failed-jammy. Installed 42.0.1-1ubuntu2.3 on Jammy virtual machine. Started the program, went to Ubuntu Pro page, exited program by clicking the dock icon and quit. Program exits normally with exit code 0.

The error tracker[1] doesn't include reports of the issue with the new version.
