Not sure if it should be like this and if it is a bug, but reporting it anyway in case.

Maybe this issue is related to nvidia controllers, please can you try to reproduce this issue disabling compiz effects (in case these are enabled) and check what happens because at least here works fine for me (in a VM).

Hi kamus, yes disabling compiz does indeed fix the problem.

I have reassigned this issue to compiz for now. Please could you run in a terminal "apport-collect -p compiz 589687" to attach all necessary information. Thanks!

Nope, this is not a compiz bug. If mahjongg is transparent it is asking to be transparent. You only see it like that when compiz is running because compiz supports transparency while the default metacity configuration (no compositor) does not.

affects: compiz (Ubuntu) → gnome-games (Ubuntu)
Changed in gnome-games (Ubuntu):
status: Incomplete → New

There isn't an option to enable/disable this and to be honest it does look a bit stupid, either the transparency is too high or the opaqueness is too low, i.e. it is TOO see-through. Maybe it should heavily blur the window behind I don't know but it's really not a good look.

summary: - mahjongg is transparent
+ mahjongg should not be transparent
Changed in gnome-games (Ubuntu):
importance: Low → Wishlist
status: New → Confirmed
