Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-games

quadrapassel is flickering, the game field is visible only when the blocks are animated - so when the block is falling and is animated, the gamefield appears and then disappears, only the window background remains visible. If moving the blocks with the keys, the field remains visible because the keys cause the blocks to animate. Can anyone check with other videocard (NVIDIA, INTEL)? I have an ATI Radeon HD4300

are you using compiz (Desktop effects) ? could you disable those and test again? that might be a driver issue. I have an intel and the issue is not presented here.

Yes, it does work fine without compiz. Is this a compiz issue then or an fglrx one, or both?

I am having the same problem, quadrapassel works fine on initial install, the problem occurs after enabling the proprietary ATI video driver. Have experienced this on two different machines. Does not occur with desktop effects enabled with the default open source video driver. I've left the ATI driver enabled as this is the only issue that i've noticed so far other than some mild weirdness with TORCS (have not tried to see if it is driver related)
