Proposing for backport to Karmic:
- Bug stops glchess from being able to use any UCI based engines (regressing from Jaunty)
- Fixed in upstream and Lucid in 2.29.6
- Patch is:

This is not fixed in gnome-games-2.28.0-0ubuntu2 from karmic-proposed. The patch above is not included in the update. Manually removing the line in question does fix the bug.
