Bug Description

(dapper, upgraded as of February, 16th)

High scores list does not work in Glines - after a game is finished, high score list shows up but records nothing. Other random games record high scores normally.

Thanks for the report.

I can confirm this; after a game is completed, the high scores list is shown blank and there is no way of entering your name, no score is recorded etc.

The File | Scores menu item is disabled too.

This is the upstream maintainer. Can I ask the people who see this problem (I don't) what the contents of the files
/var/games/glines.scores
/var/games/glines.Small.scores
/var/games/glines.Medium.scores
/var/games/glines.Large.scores
are? Also, what permissions do these files have (and do they even exist on your machine)?

The symptoms described would occur if none of these files are installed. If that is the case then it is probably a packaging problem since they need to be created at install time if they don't exist already. Maybe someone did something to get around the setgid problem that I inflicted on everyone earlier in the release cycle? If that was the case going back to whatever was used for Breezy should work.

ls -l | grep glines in /var/games/ shows only glines.scores, which is empty:

-rw-rw-r-- 1 root games 0 2006-02-15 19:45 glines.scores

Creating the missing files with rw permissions fixes the problem.

Daniel, could you update the postinst list to have the 3 variants instead of one for that game?
