Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-games

Earlier in the Hardy release cycle, if you had a completed stack from King through Ace, double-clicking it would move it up to the "completed" slots at the top of the screen. At some point in the last 24-hours, this feature disappeared, and it's back to only supporting dragging-and-dropping piles to the completion spots (the behavior it had in Gutsy). Note that this is in the Spider game, although I suspect similar things might be happening in other games.

Package version 1:2.22.1.1-0ubuntu3

thanks for your report, can you send this upstream since you're facing the issue? it isn't too clear for me, for forwarding instructions please take a look to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME , I'm leaving this as Incomplete for now until it get forwarded upstream, thanks in advance.

This is probably related to http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=443307 (and thus my fault). My scheme-foo is not very strong, but I will look into this.

Also, if you double click on an empty slot or a slot containing only a single card, the intepreter crashes.

Double clicking completed piles works again with 1:2.22.2.1-0ubuntu1

Note for those attempting to verify this bugfix: gnome-games-data also needs to be updated as well.

In 1:2.22.2.1-0ubuntu1, I've verified that double-clicking completed piles works again. Also, the double-clicking on a stack with a single card causing a crash behavior is also fixed. I've also verified glchess does not crash when starting up.

I've not tested the rest of the package very much to verify that there aren't any further regressions in the update.

When accepting gnome-games into hardy-updates, bug #221781 should also be taken into account.

I tested a few of the other games, and they behaved sanely. Considering verified.
