Bug Description

Since upgrading to 12.04, I cannot play my favourite game.

I usually play gnomine with a grid of 69 X 42 squares with 666 mines (I call this 'bastard mode').

Since upgrading to 12.04, the "updated" gnomine does not allow resizing. As such, bastard mode is far far bigger than my screen is likely to ever be.

Furthermore, the new startup interface makes my life more difficult, as I need to re-enter the specs for bastard mode every time I want to play, as opposed to how it used to be where it just started a new game with the previous settings.

How this can be fixed:
- reinstate resizing of the gnomine window.
- pre-populate the 'custom' settings with the last-played game settings (or add a 'play again' option).

Changed in gnome-games (Ubuntu):

How was this "triaged", exactly?

I agree that the startup interface is a serious obstacle to game enjoyment. Since time immemorial minesweeper clones have had a simple and consistent interface -- at the end of the game you click on the new button and immediately get a new game which uses the last settings. This is also the behaviour of other field-clearing games, including other GNOME games like Swell Foop. Why would you make the player re-enter a size preference before every game? Some games only last a few seconds!

It seems that you can resize the window to make everything bigger, but not to make everything smaller.
