Bug Description

I just upgraded to 17.10 beta 2. When maximizing any window, a 2-pixel transparent gap appears between title bar and window content below. Unmaximizing the window gets rid of the transparent bar.

I am using gnome-session-compiz. This bug appeared after the upgrade. I didn't see it in 16.04.

Can you reproduce that also in Metacity session?

In metacity it looks fine, no gap is created. I tried with gnome-terminal and nautilus file explorer.

Can you reproduce this with new user? Maybe also caused by some old files or something like that... I just tried in VM and I can not reproduce this problem.

You're right, after removing ~/.config the bug doesn't reproduce any more. If more people report this during upgrading to beta, I still have the old .config backed up.

It is enough to move only .config? Maybe you can attach your .config dir? Before doing it check if it does not contain any important information that you don't want to make public. It might be good to understand why you had that bug.

Also seeing this bug on upgrade.
Unfortunately my .config dir is masive (1gb) so I can't easily attach anything (especially without auditing it)

Worth noting that I am seeing this also on any account that has been in a Unity session (even freshly created on 17.10), so I'm guessing its something set there. Hopefully that makes repro easier
