gnome-documents is creating a cache dir with the wrong permissions

When trying to preview any local document (i.e. a document in my local disk), gnome-documents will fail with the following error:

Error invoking Gd.pdf_loader_uri_finish: Can't open directory

Investingating a little further, I noticed that the dir in ~/.cache/gnome-documents was a directory without the executable bit. The output from ls -l is something like this:

drw------- 2 myuser myuser 4096 Dec 19 12:10 gnome-documents-223544478.pdf

I checked the source code and the call to g_mkdir_with_parents seems to be fine in gd-pdf-loader.c, so I don't know what could be causing this in my system.
