Gnome-do randomly closes itself

Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-do

I have installed gnome-do from the main repository, and it runs in the background on startup. I don't use the Docky interface, just the classic interface, and nearly none of the Gnome-Do plugins, just invoke it with the Summon Gnome-Do shortcut and then using it for launching applications.

However, from time to time, Gnome-Do has just stopped running and closed itself without any warning. It has disappeared from the Notification Area from the panel, and just isn't there. Launching it manually solves the issue, temporarily, until it again closes randomly with no warning.

I don't know where the Gnome-Do debug information is, but can provide it if I'm directed to its location.

You can run Gnome Do in a terminal with the command 'gnome-do --debug'.

Thanks bonde. I did what you suggested and started gnome-do in terminal with the debug option. Here is the output of the last stream on the screen.

The problem keeps reoccurring. Every day or so, gnome-do just closes and is gone from the panel and has to be restarted again. Please let me know if any other log files or information can help in fixing the issue.

I'm sorry for not following up on this issue. There's an awful lot error about evolution on the debug information you posted. Try to disable the Evolution plugin and see if Gnome-Do still crashes. Also, I recommend doing some research on the error messages.

Those Evolution errors are harmless and can be ignored.

Are you running the Docky theme? Perhaps with the CPU and/or Battery docklets?

No. not running the Docky theme. I use the classic interface.

Will start gnome-do this time without the evolution plugin, to see if it makes any different.

And update on this bug:

Since disabling the evolution plugin, the issue is not occurring. I think it's safe to say that the bug is in the evolution plugin.

I have same randomly closing problem on maverick, it's really annoying. Here is my an gnome-do session debug log, till it's closed:
